At the upcoming AASCEND Job Club meeting on October 4 via Zoom, the three Job Club facilitators, Dan Middleton, Michael Bernick and Keith Halperin, will discuss the coming changes in 2026, in neurodiversity employment programs and strategies. Michael will address the employment changes with Regional Center programs and DOR programs. Dan will address the emerging online search tools for the neurodivergent community, and the upcoming job fairs and employer events. Keith will discuss the current activities of the weekly job club and plans for moving forward.

AASCEND‘s annual potluck picnic in the Park is coming up on September 20. All are welcome for an afternoon of informal socializing and games with our community. This year’s picnic will be held from noon to 3:30 at tables 7 – 9 in Hellman Hollow in Golden Gate Park. We will have food and drink, but bring something to share if you can. No RSVP is necessary. Set-up begins at 11:30 AM.
